We are in the army now!
No, we did not become a paramilitary Festival. We found a new home in some old barracks. Because, let’s be honest, after 12 long and beautiful years between nice baroque towers, horse dung and tents on the Boxberg in Gotha it is time for something new. We were already able to sleepwalk from one tent to the next on the horse race, because we knew so well where the rocket club and the coffee tent was and honestly to build up your tent at the same place every time was also boring in the long run.
Everything will be different, everything will be new on the new ground.
“Cross your heart”, how do you feel about it? You surely remember nostalgically all these nice moments we had on the Boxberg in the last years. But seriously, honestly, is it not also very exciting? Not knowing anymore what will be where and to discover new grounds? Really, it’s going to be the same people, just the place is going to be different. It will stay the JesusParty.
“Cross your heart”, will be the Freakstock motto in the sense of ‘honestly, how are things with you and me, how are things with you and God, how are things with God and us’. This is what we’ll be dealing with next to exploring the new ground, the party and concerts, seminars and workshops.
It’s time now to break new ground. It’s going to be a new county, new grounds (literally), we’re writing a new chapter. So, line up, move your butts ;-) when the iron doors of the former barracks in Borgenteich open up squeakily for the first time.

We are in the army now!
Nein, wir sind kein paramilitärisches Festival geworden. Wir haben ein neues Zuhause in einer alten Kaserne gefunden.
Denn sind wir doch mal ehrlich, nach 12 langen und schönen Jahren zwischen netten Barocktürmchen, Pferdeäpfeln und Zelten auf dem Boxberg in Gotha ist es Zeit für etwas Neues. Man konnte ja auf der Pferderennbahn von einem Zelt zum nächsten schon Schlafwandeln, so sehr wusste man, der RaketenKlub steht dort und das Coffeezelt ist da und mal ehrlich sein Zelt immer am gleichen Platz aufbauen war auf die Dauer auch langweilig. Alles wird anders, alles wird neu, auf einem neuen Gelände.
Hand aufs Herz, wie geht es dir damit? Sicher denkt man wehmütig an die vielen schönen Momente zurück, die man in den letzten Jahren auf dem Boxberg erlebt hat. Aber, Hand aufs Herz, jetzt mal ehrlich, kommt da nicht auch ein bisschen Fieber auf? Nicht mehr wissen was wo ist, ein neues Gelände entdecken! Hand aufs Herz, die Leute bleiben die gleichen, nur der Ort ändert sich. Es wird die JesusParty bleiben.
Hand aufs Herz wird das Freakstockthema sein, Hand aufs Herz im Sinne von jetzt mal ehrlich, wie ist das mit dir und mir, wie ist das mit dir und Gott, wie ist das mit Gott und uns. Das wird uns beschäftigen - neben dem Erkunden des Geländes, der Party und Konzerte, den Seminaren und Workshops.
Jetzt heißt es neue Wege zu beschreiten, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, neues Bundesland, neues Gelände, wir schreiben ein neues Kapitel. Also angetreten, Arsch bewegen ;-), wenn sich zum ersten mal für Freakstock, die eisernen Tore der ehemaligen Kaserne in Borgentreich quietschend öffnen.
