I don't see much in English here. Are there groups in the US? I have a son who is presently in jail and read a book by someone regarding Jesus Freaks and he was extremely moved. He will be getting out soon and going into a christian rehab and then onto Teen Challenge. I have always felt that God had a special purpose for him and feel that he is headed in the right direction now. Does anyone know about books that were written by Jesus Freaks and if there are sites in the US? Please let me know so that I can get the books for him.

Dear tinkerbell46
These are the internet-site from the Jesus Freaks international. These Jesus Freaks are a christian movement. The Groups are in Europe; the most of them are in Germany.
The books, how you mean can be from DC-Talk. The two titles "Jesus Freaks" were independent originated.
Look at www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywor...
for more of the books; the homepage of the band DC-Talk is

I havn't been able to find Jesus Freaks in the US.
I lived in Germany for 2 years as a Mormon Missionary. I met some Jesus Freaks there and got some info about freakstock. I have since been born again and left the Mormons for Jesus. I've looked for Jesus Freaks here in the US but havn't found them. I believe the book your son read was Jesus Freaks by DC Talk as was previously stated. The Book Jesus Freaks is about Christian Martyrs, there's a few others as well. Go to christianbooks.com to find them cheaper.
Praise Jesus he found help, many of us have to hit rock bottom to realize that we're broken and need God to fix us.

I am new and unfamiliar with this site,so I don't know what qualifications it takes to be a 'Jesus freak'.My love for Jesus is first and foremost in my life.Music, friendship ,peace ,sharing of Faith and the beauty of Grace. All these things seem trivial to most people I come in contact with, but to me it all goes hand in hand with the teachings of Christ.I truly feel at times to be a lone voice here in the states surrounded by 'church goers' and those who claim Jesus as there savior, they welcome all with arms wide open,as long as you see things just as they do.I guess what I'm saying is there has to be more than the anger and spite that exudes from the blind who think they can see on there own, with no help from the Savior.Am I wrong?
Hello tinkerbell, Even your
Hello tinkerbell,
Even your son can't find Jesus freaks itself in the US there are still many Christian communities all over the world who are in love with Jesus.
I'm used to pray to God to lead me to a church/ community he wants me to be, when I move towns and so far it is working good for me.
I'm sure with the help of prayers God will make his will clear for your son and guide him.
bless you
